In Literature, Shakespeare associated Summer Solstice with Mystery, Magic and Dancing.  His midsummer Night's Dream was a famous Elizabethan play that features the festive atmosphere of Summer.
Summer is one of the four seasons. The Four seasons are Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn, also known as Fall. It is the warmest season of the year, in the Northern hemisphere from June to August add in the Southern hemisphere from December to February.
The Summer Sun supplies energy necessary to support life, breed and feed. Summer warmth creates comfortable conditions for vital activities of animals, plants and micro-organisms. The heat is essential for vegetation and growing food crops. Sunlight and temperature are important for plants growth, since they are one of the main condition for photosynthesis. While most  animals during summer reproduce, hunt, and store necessary energy for colder seasons, due to most comfortable natural conditions which aggravate metabolism and stimulate other activities.

1. The first day of Summer is between June 20th and June 22nd every year. It is called the Summer Solstice. While the last day of Summer is September.
    The first National spelling Bee was held on June 7th, 1825.
    The month of June is named after the Roman goddess "Juno."
    Ice cream lovers, the summer season should be your favorite. July is national ice cream month.
    The month of August was named for Julius Caesar's Octavius, who held the Augustus.He named   the month after himself.

2. In 1896, the first modern Olympic Games were held in the Summer in Athens, Greece and were housed in the first giant stadium, the Panathenaic Stadium.

3. During Summer, the Eiffel Tower located in Champs de Mars in Paris, France grows about 6 inches due to the iron expanding to the heat.

4. More thunderstorms occur during Summer than any other time of the year. They also take place more commonly in the south east of England.

5. Did you know that Watermelon can be considered as both fruit and vegetable,and one of the best Summer treats. It belong to cucumber family, which is full of the antioxidant lycopene, vitamins A, C and potassium.

6. Mosquitoes are most prevalent during Summer months. Due to the warm temperature, they pass  their life circle faster.

7. Summer trips or top most popular Summer vacations are beach, ocean, visit to famous cities, national parks, lakeside, resorts and lots more.

8. Television shows used to only be reruns during the Summer months. The idea being that everyone was outside enjoying the weather.

9. Cats eat less food in Summer. Researchers have shown that they eat 15% more food instead in the Winter than Summer.

10 A wide range of public holidays fall during Summer, especially in Europe countries.
