CONVID 19:The Nigerian Airspace and Airports Remain Closed
The Nigerian Government on Monday announced further closure of all the international airports. The country extended the closure as it was initially shut down on Monday, March 21 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
On Monday April 20, Hadi Sirika, the Minster of Aviation said the airports and airspace would remain closed for a further two weeks, which already started. However, essential flights and emergency flights could be operated from any of the airports within the period.
The extended closure is said to be part of the measures taken to prevent the coronavirus outbreak in the country as number of cases rise.
